Over crowded campsites and under funded opportunity

There is one issue of urgency, a giant political elephant. My guess is 90% of the lakes in our region that do have road access do not have forestry campsites, outhouses, picnic table or fire-pits or even a half decent boat launch. The we have another growing problem called “Camp Hogging” people who relentlessly hog campsites for most of the summer and somehow the governments forest service crews simply close a blind eye to this problem. Are they instructed not to say anything? This problem needs to be addressed and part of the cause is an extreme shortage of site when so many site locations could be added.

The July 1st weekend here in the north is a nightmare. Every camping facility in our region was over crowed or maxed out, just how many of us go camping to search for an overcrowded lake? The NDP with the help of our local politicians are trying to kill the forest industry, and pillage the remainder of it out of its proper funding unless you live south of Hope.  They care more about their pensions and we are just being used for our resources with nothing being returned.

Local politicians are too spineless to defend our way of life and our backyard.

Here is an example of what almost every campgrounds in the north looked like on July 1st 2021 most of the RV’s come from south of Prince George and from as far as Vancouver and the USA, yet funding all heads south of Hope.

Be sure to call Nathan Cullen and tell them we need to keep our resource industry alive and healthy, they are the ones who opened up roads to these lakes, instead of taking all the money out of our region, invest it into more campgrounds with decent camping facilities. They preach tourism like mantra yet refuse to reinvest some of our own dollars back into our own region.

Speaking of resource industry, always drive with care and give these folks room on the back roads to keep both them and ourselves alive and safe.
