Summit Lake – Houston, another gorgeous opportunity wasted courtesy of a government that claims to love tourism as long as they do not have to spend a dime on it, so they can prop up their own projects south of Hope with our forestry dollars. The cost of putting in a decent campgrounds is minimal considering the return on investment.

Fish Species:
This is a small Lake (< 400 Ha) According to the last biophysical inventory/assessment was done in 1970 that found there are both Longnose Suckers and Cutthroat Trout in this lake.

Turn right on Summit Lake W Road, drive past Hidden Lake Forest Service Road, take the fist unnamed road to the right, its a 4×5 road with lots of deep water holes in it.
