We wish to make it abundantly clear the Gitxsan putting out this notice have ZERO authority to enforce it. The only lands they have jurisdiction on is land that is currently listed as “Reserves” The have never settled land claims on land they call their own and until this is done, the land are crown land and publicly owned lands. Second is all lakes and rivers. are not and will not become part of aboriginal ownership, they are and will remain owned by the authority of the Canadian Goverment. The mail out is nothing more than a publicity stunt to push Canada to give away more tax dollars and ownership of lands. Anyone accosted by aboriginals while out of crown land should file a complaint to the RCMP as those actions are illegal.
