EDITORS NOTE: Bob Hooton is a retired steelhead biologist who worked for the B.C. Environment Ministry for 37 years. He is not funded by any organization, and speaks from the heart and from acquired knowledge. He is the lone voice in a wilderness of a ministry sold out to politicians who no longer care. We have a backgrounder here, regarding Bob’s credentials.

If I were allowed to make a bet with hundred to one odds, I would bet they take thousands of fish, but never tell the public how many they are taking with a pound trap paid for by non aboriginal tax dollars. They got 2.21 million dollars paid for by BC Taxpayers, but they will never reveal what they will take from the river, given they do not pay for fishing license, special river tags, steelhead tags, and salmon tags, they get to pillage our rivers with zero obligation to disclose how we pay for everything, and they take everything. That is what is called socialism fair, it stinks.
