Fish Species:
NOTE: There is a myth circulating that the lake is full of kokanee salmon in Chapman lake, we suspect it was to generate tourism by certain individuals. There is no sockeye that enter lakes above the Fulton River Dam (downstream) plus there is also a waterfall below the dam making a natural barrier. The only other way they can be introduced into the lake is through the fish stocking program, and Chapman Lake is not being stocked, all fish are natural wild. So if you cannot catch any, its because they do not exist in that lake.
The test results in 2002 are as follows; Lake Trout(char) Northern Pikeminnow (formerly known as squawfish) Lake Whitefish, Mountain Whitefish, Lonenose Suckers, Course Scale Suckers, Rainbow Trout (low numbers), and Pea Mouth Chub. No Cuthroat Trout were recorded
The campsites are not very private, we hope to add pictures soon, but its great for people travelling in groups of RV’s and you can get some pretty good sized RV’s into this location.

Below is a number of videos, in fall, winter, spring and summer. We thought we might share them all and let you pick what you wish to see.
The videos were all shot in 4K so watch them on a large screen for more detail.
This latest batch of pictures was taken May 7th 2021, the ice just came off the lake this week, but it gives a good view of what the campsites look like.
More photos from the past.
